The Comm Bnkg Relationship Managers main responsibility is business development, credit quality, relationship development and retention and to be a liaison with other business line partners to meet their clients' Banking needs.

In Addition To All The Functions Of a Commercial Loan Officer, With Respect To the Assigned Portfolio, The Team Leader Is Expected To

  • Manage and supervise Loan Officers and Administrative Assistants to ensure that their functions are properly performed with respect to customer service, asset quality, loan approvals, and business development.
  • Properly train Junior Loan Officers.
  • Assist in the preparation of departmental reports such as budgets, strategic plan, etc.
  • Develop improved methods of operation that would enhance profitability, efficiency, business development, etc.
  • Perform annual performance appraisals for staff.
  • Make calls on accounts, prospects and COIs individually or jointly with Loan Officers or Senior Management.
  • Set and manage achievement of team goals.
  • Driver's license required.
Required Skills
  • Knowledge of credit underwriting, basic accounting and loan documentation.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Proficient PC skills using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High level of interpersonal and social skills needed to interact with customers and/or prospective clients.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate assignments.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Good administrative and credit skills.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
Required Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of five years related commercial loans experience.
  • Bachelors Degree preferred.
  • Ten years of related commercial loans experience preferred.
