First Chicago Insurance Company in Chicago is seeking a Commercial Auto Bodily Injury Claims Specialist to handle investigation and settlement of auto BI claims, including complex liability and casualty cases, with focus on efficient, fair closures. You will work with internal/external customers, prepare evaluations, and coordinate with underwriters as needed.

Hybrid work arrangement available; strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial Auto Claims insurance experience.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledge of state rules and regulations for claims handling.
• Licensed Claims Adjuster or ability to become licensed.

Responsibilities

• Review and determine course of action on each file to support final disposition.
• Investigate, evaluate and settle total loss files and liability claims.
• Work with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts.
• Prepare claim evaluations for appropriate settlement authority and notify underwriting as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of file activity and ensure timely closure.
