Job summary

Capital Power is seeking two Commercial Asset Management Specialists for its US Renewables portfolio, reporting to the Sr. Specialist, US Renewables.

Based in Phoenix, AZ, you will drive commercial risk management, identify opportunities, and collaborate with operations, finance and legal teams to optimize asset value across the generation fleet. You will oversee contracts, due diligence, stakeholder communications, and strategic asset plans while ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and

Qualifications

3+ years in an operational, commercial, engineering, business development or analytical role
Knowledge of power markets, power generation, regulatory and PPA structures preferred
Experience with renewable projects is a strong asset

Responsibilities

Own and manage day-to-day relationships with asset counterparties and partners
Coordinate internal SMEs for effective commercial management of assets
Lead negotiations of key commercial contracts (PPAs, REC contracts, services)
Monitor market developments and advise on strategies to preserve/enhance asset value
Support facility managers with cost/benefit analysis and project investments
Prepare and present updates at stakeholder meetings
Manage compliance with related commercial agreements across assets
