Job summary

STV seeks a Commercial Analyst to join the Corporate Commercial Project team in a hybrid role (3 days in office) with potential locations in Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC or other listed offices. The analyst will support commercial management of Architecture and Engineering projects, focusing on risk, cost control and reporting to protect and maximize STV financial performance.

Qualifications

• Up to 3 years commercial management experience desired
• Technical knowledge of commercial, contract and risk management
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

• Degree in construction, engineering or related discipline

Responsibilities

• Adhere to commercial processes and procedures
• Establish a commercial strategy with clear objectives with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager
• Review and respond to contractor correspondence of a contractual nature
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and manage them to minimize STV liability
• Manage submission of potential change orders per project contract
• Prepare sub-consultant agreements and coordinate scope with engineering staff
• Administer sub-consultant agreements to ensure liabilities are accurate and payments are made
• Assist with coordination of claims and timely responses
• Provide accurate Operating Statements and Cost to Complete reports
• Maintain accurate records and develop logs for commercial activities
• Fulfil other tasks within the contemplation of the role

Job description

STV is seeking a Commercial Analyst to join our Corporate Commercial Project team. This position will be designated as hybrid (3 days week/in office) and can be located in one of the following offices: Atlanta, GA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; Franklin, TN; or Lake Mary, FL.

The Commercial Analyst role requires knowledge and understanding of commercial management of Architecture and Engineering design Projects, to include but not be limited to an understanding of risk, cost control and reporting methodologies in order to protect and maximize STV financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to commercial processes and procedures
• In conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager establish a commercial strategy with clear commercial objectives
• Ensure all correspondence and meeting records from the Contractor are reviewed and responded to accordingly, advising the Commercial Manager of any correspondence that correspondence of a contractual nature
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and manage them through to conclusion to minimize STV liability
• Manage the submission of potential change orders in accordance with Project contractual obligations
• Prepare timely sub-consultant agreements, coordinating scope (including co-ordination and other matters) with the appropriate engineering staff
• Administer sub-consultant agreements to ensure liabilities are accurate, payments are made in accordance with their respective agreements, and all necessary correspondence is issued
• Assist with the co-ordination of claims to ensure responses are provided in a timely manner
• Provide accurate Operating Statements (OpStats), including subconsultant liability analysis, potential change order logs, and Cost to Complete (CTC) reports in accordance with STV procedures
• Ensure accurate records are maintained
• Develop and maintain various logs, tables, and analysis to support commercial activities
• Fulfil any other task that can be reasonably within the contemplation of the role

Competencies

• Up to 3 years commercial management experience desired

Degree in construction, engineering or related discipline

Compensation Range

$58,480.63 - $66,835.00
