Job summary

Atlantic Aviation at BHM in Birmingham, AL, seeks a Commercial Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Technician to provide fueling, towing, baggage handling, and ground support for customer aircraft.

You will marshal aircraft, perform lavatory/water service, and operate ground support equipment while maintaining safety and professionalism. Pay is $16.50/hour with shifts including overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Be physically able to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Pass extensive background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground marshalling using standard aviation signals.
• Assist with aircraft turning, loading, and unloading.

• Ensure buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and organized.
• Conduct daily/weekly onsite safety inspections and audits.

Commercial Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Technician Responsibilities

• Deliver and receive fuel to and from company tanks, vendor trucks, and aircraft.
• Operate all company ground support equipment as requested or required, including lavatory and water service carts, ground power unit, deice truck, etc.
• Perform ground marshalling using standard aviation signals.
• Perform customer service activities such as helping customers with aircraft scheduling and fueling.
• Assist with aircraft turning, loading, and unloading.
• Ensure all buildings and grounds are safe, clean, and organized.
• Conduct or assists with daily/weekly onsite safety inspections and audits of equipment and facility operations.
• Occasional travel may be required to support another Atlantic location.
• You may be occasionally assigned to another Atlantic location based on geographical proximity as business needs require.

Commercial Aircraft Refueler / Line Service Technician Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• 18 years of age
• Avalid state driver’s license
• Ability to pass extensive background investigation
• Be comfortable and physically able to work in an environment with frequent walking, stretching, bending, sitting, stooping, reaching, grasping, and climbing
• Be physically able to perform heavy lifting on a regular basis up to 50 lbs
