EMR is seeking a hands-on Commercial Accounting Manager - Non Ferrous for our Camden, NJ office. This role requires deep accounting experience tied to commercial activities, including hedging and pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• Several years of progressive accounting experience with hands-on focus
• Strong account reconciliation and discrepancy investigation skills
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
• Detail oriented with ability to handle complex financial data
• Strong Excel and ERP/system proficiency
• Ability to work independently and take ownership
• Curiosity about linking accounting to commercial activities
• Strong communication across finance and non-finance teams

Responsibilities

• Reconcile hedge accounts and commercial positions to ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Investigate discrepancies and connect commercial transactions to hedging activity and entries.
• Support A/R and A/P reconciliation and day-to-day account maintenance.
• Review transactions to determine purchases, sales, invoices, payments, and outstanding amounts.
• Analyze profitability, losses, exposures, and discrepancies in financial data.
• Maintain accurate, controlled financial data and transparency of position.
• Collaborate with Commercial Administration and Central Accounting to share financial insights.
• Partner with Commercial, Operations, Procurement, Inventory and Logistics to assess financial impact.
• Develop financial and analytical models to support commercial decision making.
• Assist month-end close and financial reporting processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, processes, and reporting.
