Howden is a global insurance group dedicated to a culture of ownership and collaboration. We are actively seeking a Commercial Account Handler to join Howden Consumer & Local Commercial, helping build rapport with diverse clients and supporting our Account Executives in renewal management.

You will ensure accurate documentation, deliver excellent client service, and maintain FCA compliance across daily activities.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail when reviewing client documentation to support quotes.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts to meet expectations and compliance standards.
• Support Commercial Account Executives in achieving renewal retention and exceeding customer expectations.
• Knowledge of FCA requirements and data handling processes to ensure compliant service.

We are actively looking for a Commercial Account Handler to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. Our local Commercial team have grown rapidly over the last 14 years’, and we now have over 200 people within the team across the UK.

In this role you will be responsible for building rapport with new and existing clients, who could range from sole traders, through to the MD/CEO of a large organisation, and working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.

About you:

You will have strong attention to detail as you will be reviewing client documentation, ensuring the information is comprehensive and accurate to support the quoting process. You must have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and external contacts to ensure we meet expectations and compliance standards. You will be assisting the Commercial Account Executives in achieving high levels of renewal retention, whilst exceeding customer expectations and meeting FCA requirements. You have the ability to process data promptly and accurately on relevant systems in order to support and improve high levels of client service, internal process execution and to facilitate informed analysis.
