Job summary

State of Arkansas seeks a Commerce Program Coordinator to serve as Office Manager, handling daily schedules, correspondence, GED administration, and database management. The role administers the Grants Management System, supports the division’s strategic plan, and generates routine and ad hoc reports.

Responsibilities include coordinating meetings, compiling financial reports, and ensuring policy compliance. Strong Excel/Word skills, data analysis, and collaboration with management are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum four years in office or program administration or related field.
  • Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement office procedures to meet department objectives.
  • Act as key administrator for the Grants Management System and MIS.
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and may take minutes.
  • Coordinate events and conferences; monitor office workflow.
  • Prepare statistical and financial reports; manage budget and purchasing records.
  • Respond to GED and adult education inquiries from the public.
