Job Description

The Intelligent Sustainable Technologies Division (ISTD) within the Aerospace, Transportation and Advanced Systems (ATAS) is looking for a Graduate Research Assistant, starting Spring 2027, to workwith researchers on hydrogen combustion. It includes designing, assembling, and modifying combustion systems, as well as conducting tests, evaluating results, and reporting findings.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Graduate Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD at Georgia Tech inMechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) during working semesters
  • Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in combustion, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer
  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
  • Strong mechanical design & analysis
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
