Job summary

The Systems Group in Columbus, MS is seeking a Combo Pipe Welder to support day-to-day welding tasks and contribute to broader operations nationwide. The role focuses on arc, MIG, and TIG welding of carbon and stainless pipe, with emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity.

The candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen and welding qualification coupons, wear OSHA-approved Met-Guard boots, and come with basic rigging knowledge. Expect 48 hours per week and up to $30/hour pay.

Qualifications

• Must have basic rigging knowledge.
• Combo Pipe Welding in an industrial setting is preferred.
• OSHA approved Met-Guard boots provided by the company.
• Must be able to weld and pass qualification test coupons during pre-employment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly.
• Weld together metal components such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tubes using arc welding equipment as specified by layout and drawings.
• Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and not interfere with other workers.
• Secure pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Weld in all directions – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Location: Aluminum Dynamics – Columbus, MS

Pay Rate: Up to $30/ Hour

Hours: 48 Hours/ Week

The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Combo Pipe Welder. We are looking for someone to help in the day-to-day combo pipe welding issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Combo Pipe Welder Job Responsibilities:

• Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions

Combo Pipe Welder Job Skills:

• Must be able to observe and recognize problems during the welding process and adjust speed, voltage, amperage, or feed of the rod
• Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans
• Must be able to properly use tools
• Must be able to weld both carbon steel and stainless steel pipe
• Must be able to do basic math
• Must be able to make precise measurements
• Use stick, mig, tig, and flux core welding techniques to weld various components in varying positions

Experience and Requirements:

• Must have basic rigging knowledge and experience
• Combo Pipe Welding in an industrial setting is preferred
• OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided)
• Must be able to weld and pass qualification test coupons during the pre-employment test
