Job summary

Worley Texas-based La Porte facility seeks an experienced Combo Welder to lay out, align and weld components per blueprints, assembling machinery frames, tanks, pipes, and related structures. This role requires reading blueprints and welding across pipe, plate and structural steel using arc and gas methods.

You will set up equipment, perform repairs, and collaborate with maintenance teams to deliver quality workmanship on industrial construction projects and related assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years industrial construction/maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and make repairs to pipe, boilers, towers, exchangers, furnaces, and drums
• Set up equipment and weld either pipe, plate, or structural steel using arc, gas-shielded arc, or gas welding equipment
• Work from blueprints, sketches, and specifications
• Product quality work with reasonable efficiency
• Perform simple piping installations and repairs
• Assist other mechanics
• Additional responsibilities not listed may be required

Position Summary

Lays out, aligns and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural formssuch as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe, according to blueprints and metallurgy.
