Job summary

GrayWolf is seeking Combo Pipe Welders for our Lebanon, IN job site. The role operates on a 6/10s schedule (13 on, 1 off) and requires you to bring a locking tool box. Pay range is $47–$49 per hour, with the potential for extension beyond the project term.

Per Diem $150 per day is paid when scheduled to work, subject to attendance. Responsibilities include layout, welding in multiple directions, and reading and interpreting prints and plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of pipe combo welding in industrial construction.
• OSHA 10 preferred; AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding.
• Weld metal components of piping systems, plates, pipes and structural shapes per blueprints or work orders.
• Read prints and plans to plan installation or repair; secure pipes using brackets, clamps and hangers.
• Work safely with hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools; perform construction math as required.

GrayWolf is seeking Combo Pipe Welders at our Lebanon, IN job site. Working 6/10s - 13 on and 1 off. YOU MUST HAVE THE REQUIRED TOOLS/LOCKING BOX WHEN YOU ARRIVE TO THE JOB!!!! Pay range \$47-49 with several months (could go on over a year) left on the project. Per Diem \$150.00/day paid 7 days (as long as you work your schedule). Attendance will be monitored to keep on schedule.

Job Summary

Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, weld together metal components of products such as piping systems, plates, pipes, and tube or structural shapes, as specified by layout, blueprints, diagram, work order, welding procedures, or oral instructions, using electric arc-welding equipment. Plan installation or repair to avoid obstructions and avoid interfering with the activities of other workers. Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools. Weld in any direction – flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.

Essential Duties

• Must successfully pass weld test in GTAW/SMAW carbon steel super coupon in 6G positions - further special alloy testing may be required.
• Must be able to weld on stainless steel or carbon pipe - all sized.
• Must be able to read and interpret prints and plans.
• Tools - use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and in a safe manner.
• Construction Math - Demonstrates level of competency in construction math as required in trade practice.
• Safety - work safely around the hazards associated with the construction field.

Job Qualifications

• At least 3 years of pipe combo welding in an industrial construction setting.
• OSHA 10 preferred, AWS certified preferred.
• Must have locking tool box and tools necessary to perform the job.
• Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.
• This assignment is 100% x-ray inspection of welds.
• Weld test is 3 tests - must be able to pass schedule 10 stainless as the first test. Tig/Stick Super Coupon thereafter.

Physical/Site Requirements

• Provide OSHA 10 card and or obtain OSHA 10 within 30 days of hire.
• Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
• Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
• Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
• Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
• PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required. This job site requires long sleeves.
