RQ Construction is hiring skilled Combination Pipe Welders to support mechanical construction work at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay in Georgia, and the surrounding areas. This is a fully on-site role performed on an active military installation, with compensation aligned to Davis-Bacon Act prevailing wage requirements.

The company delivers project management services with field teams assigned to job sites and is known for fast-paced construction projects for the Department of Defense.
Pay Range: $45.15 - $50.00 per hour

The Combination Pipe Welder will perform a variety of welding tasks, including joining metal components using techniques such as hand welding, flame cutting, soldering, and brazing. This position requires the ability to pass groove weld qualification tests in all positions across multiple materials and welding methods. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding. Work is performed in a construction environment and must comply with all applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. A strong understanding of mechanical welding practices is essential, along with strict adherence to safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment in accordance with company standards.
Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a hands-on welding test. Candidates who do not meet the required performance criteria during this assessment will not be considered for the position.
