Job summary

SpaceXAI in Seattle designs, builds, and operates Colossus, a massive GPU‑based datacenter for frontier AI models. As a Software Engineer on the Colossus Networking team, you’ll develop core networking software to maximize performance and reliability across hundreds of thousands of GPUs.

Our engineers own design, implementation, deployment, and monitoring, tackling distributed systems, high‑performance networking, and real-time control of one of the largest AI supercomputers on Earth.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or 2+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong development experience specifically in C/C++.
• Experience with high-performance networking in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop routing and traffic-engineering algorithms for the Colossus datacenter network.
• Build reliable, real-time software for switches in a low-latency fabric.
• Lead architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Create prototypes and run experiments to validate design decisions at scale.
• Develop tools for deployment, data analysis, and testing across virtualized and live clusters.
• Deploy software updates with CI/CD and monitoring.
