Job summary

IMP Locum Tenens, LLC seeks a Colon & Rectal Surgeon to join a growing surgical program in Munster, IN. You will provide comprehensive colorectal and general surgical care for adult and geriatric patients, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures.

Rounding and clinics are included with a 1:4 General Surgery call rotation. Board-certified or -eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery, Indiana license or eligibility, and active DEA with BLS/ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• Board certified or board eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain.
• Active DEA; BLS and ACLS required.
• Prior inpatient and outpatient surgical experience preferred; proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a collaborative surgical team.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum colorectal and general surgical care, including robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures.
• Perform inpatient rounding, outpatient consultations, and follow-up visits.
• Participate in General Surgery call rotation (1:4).
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Contribute to clinical quality and performance improvement initiatives.
• Support growth and leadership of the surgical program within Community Healthcare System.
