Job summary

The Bernard Group Inc in Chanhassen, MN is seeking a Color Technician to join the Pre-press Production team. You will work on print files, adjust colors to meet specifications, and ensure color management throughout the file preparation and printing process.

The role requires 3-5 years in a full color prepress environment, familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, and strong attention to detail. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM. Competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

Degree or certification from a trade school or vocational institute.
3-5 years’ full-time experience in a full color Prepress department preparing files for printing.
Experience with Large/Wide Format Digital printing is a plus.
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities

Process and evaluate print files received from Customers or Project Managers.
Match color to customer specifications.
Evaluate and judge color visually and with spectrophotometers.
Manipulate color in RGB, CMYK or LAB color modes as appropriate.
Ensure the file is handled correctly from start to finish according to company standards.
Troubleshoot problems such as poor color management or incorrect print settings.
Work extra hours to meet critical deadlines.
