Job summary

ARC Document Solutions seeks a Color Print Production Operator to join our Seattle team. You will prioritize orders, operate and maintain print and finishing equipment, and ensure deliverables meet our quality standards.

The role requires an eye for detail, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and proficiency with Adobe CC including Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. We offer health benefits, a 8:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associate degree in Graphic/Production Design or 2+ years' color reprographics experience using design and file/print editing software.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize orders by customer needs, workload, media and machine capabilities.
• Estimate time and media requirements and inform the production manager or client of any constraints.
• Receive, process, and modify client files to print per specifications.
• Make suggestions regarding media, substrate, bindery, and finishing options.
• Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery and finishing equipment.
• Maintain media, substrate, ink, toner, bindery, and finishing inventory.
• QC printed and finished materials to our high quality standards.
• Package completed projects for Will-Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
• Organize and optimize your work area to boost productivity.
• Overtime as needed to meet client expectations.
• Assist in other departments and support customer service when needed.

• Make suggestions regarding media, substrate, bindery, and other finishing options.
• Operate and maintain printers, scanners, bindery and/or finishing equipment.
• Maintain media, substrate, ink, toner, bindery, and/or finishing inventory.
• QC printed and finished materials based on our high‑quality standard.
• Package completed projects for Will‑Call, Delivery, or Shipping.
• Organize, arrange, and decorate your work area to enhance productivity.
• Work overtime when necessary to meet client expectations.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Assist customer service by answering phones and taking messages as needed.

Skills that you bring to the job

• The ability to communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers.
• High level knowledge of Adobe CC – focusing on Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign.
• High level knowledge of RIP software – Onyx RIP Que & Fiery a Plus.
• High level knowledge of Cut software – Colex Experience a Plus.
• Working knowledge of MS Software such as Outlook, Excel, & Word.
• Tech savvy – able to navigate new (and old) software with limited training.
• Thorough knowledge of materials and equipment utilized in color printing, duplicating, binding, and finishing.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs, maneuver prints, media, and substrates carefully ensuring no damage occurs when transferring between machines and/or during packaging.
• Attention to detail, and the ability to multi‑task while maintaining quality, accuracy & scale.
• A can‑do attitude with a continuing need to self‑improve by researching new materials and learning innovative ways to utilize production equipment in our quest to delight our clients.

Required Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Associates of Arts Degree focusing on Graphic/Production Design and/or 2+ years' equivalent experience in the color reprographics field using design and file/print editing software.

Pay range: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour, depending on experience.
