Job summary

Richelieu, a leading North American distributor and manufacturer of specialty hardware, seeks experienced Color Matchers for our Pompano Beach, FL operation. You will mix coatings, read orders, inspect surfaces, and ensure color accuracy while supporting warehouse activities and customers.

The role requires standing for long periods, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and forklift operation or willingness to learn; strong communication and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, 1+ years preferred.
• Must be able to operate a forklift or willing to learn.
• Capable of standing for long periods and reaching overhead.
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Mix, formulate, and apply coatings and tints to sample materials.
• Read job orders and inspect surfaces to determine procedures and materials.
• Prepare surfaces for coating and tinting.
• Inspect color accuracy of finished products.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
• Provide warehouse support including inventory management, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Mix, formulate, and apply coatings and tints to sample materials
• Read job orders and inspect surfaces to determine procedures and materials required
• Properly clean and prepare surfaces for various coating and tinting jobs
• Inspect finished product for color accuracy
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order
• Provide warehouse support when required, assisting with inventory management, shipping/receiving, forklift operation, etc.
• Sort and organize merchandise so that it can be easily located
• Keep records of items received and damaged merchandise returned
• Provide support to customers when needed
• Work with other members of the distribution team to increase company profitability and overall customer satisfaction
• Check product against orders for accuracy
• Ensure all orders leave the facility in a manner consistent with Richelieu Core Values
• Maintain proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
• Follow company policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Required Continually: standing, the utilization of hand and finger dexterity, and the utilization of visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard

Required Frequently: walking, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling, lifting/pushing/carrying items up to 50 pounds, working near moving mechanical parts, and working around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm

What We Are Looking For

• Related experience in a similar position
• Must be able to, or be willing to learn how to, operate a forklift
• Capable of standing for long periods of time, with the ability to bend and reach overhead
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Excellent driving record, free of violations
• High school diploma required, 1 or more years of post high school studies preferred
