Hood Distribution in Millersburg, OH is seeking a Color Mix Specialist to tint and match paints and stains, record orders, and create color samples. The role emphasizes accurate documentation and timely color matching.

You will support inside sales, assist in demonstrations, and ensure proper labeling while maintaining a clean workspace. A high school diploma and color vision are required.

Qualifications

• Prior knowledge in paints, stains, solvents, wood species, and spray equipment.
• Proven skill in color matching and spraying technique.
• Good eye for color and ability to pass a color-blind test.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Tinting and matching paints and stain colors.
• Maintain and record accurate records from orders, custom mixes, and colors.
• Create presentation samples for customers.
• Provide technical support on finishing products and applications.
• Participate in demonstrations and assist in sales.
• Work with inside sales to provide solutions to customer needs.
• Ensure all completed custom mixes are labeled.
• Maintain a clean work environment with daily/weekly/monthly cleaning tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
