Job summary

Matrix Adhesives Group is seeking a color laboratory technician to weigh colorants precisely, prepare pigment blends, and run QC tests in a structured lab setting. You will document results, ensure materials meet specifications, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires color vision, experience with polymers, and prior industrial lab exposure, with standard work hours Monday through Friday and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to see color as measured by the Farnsworth Munsell 100 hue test.
• Knowledge/experience in polymers and/or color preferred.
• Prior related industrial lab experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weighs colorants to a +/-0.01 g accuracy and checks critical raw materials.
• Creates pigment blends from formulation to improve quality, cost or environmental compliance.
• Operates lab equipment to generate batch results and determines pass/fail for continued processing.
• Records color data on QC forms and enters data in electronic database.
• Ensures QC testing samples are conditioned to proper temperatures for specified tests.
• Maintains equipment, utensils and apparatus in good working condition.
• Supports Lean/Continuous improvement objectives and follows ISO 9001 procedures.
• Assists in qualification/validation of new raw materials and conducts specified tests.
• Other duties as assigned.
