A leading coatings company in Cleveland is seeking a Color Lab Technician to support lab activities for Auto OEM customers. The role involves collaboration with colorists, execution of design experiments, and maintenance of lab equipment. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, ideally with chemistry coursework, and 2+ years of relevant experience in paints and coatings. Strong math and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with paints and coatings or advanced degree with lab experience.
• Experience in lab support activities related to color and coatings.
• Ability to follow lab standard work for sample preparation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute experiments related to material design and modification.
• Use spectrophotometers for color result capture.
• Make water and solvent-based paints, testing their properties.
• Communicate test results to project owners.
• Complete proactive lab upkeep including maintenance of equipment.
