Job summary

Penske Collision Repair Appraiser location: Las Vegas, NV. The role focuses on writing collision repair estimates for customers and shop staff, requiring strong attention to detail and reliable communication in a busy body shop environment.

Schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM. Candidates should have at least 3 years of estimating experience, an estimator certification, and proficiency with computer applications and industry software.

Qualifications

• Requires at least 3 years of body shop estimating experience.
• Estimator Certification is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Vocational/technical school is preferred.
• Proficient with basic computer apps (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication, problem solving, and decision making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Write collision repair estimates for customers and internal teams.
• Maintain superior customer relations and effective communication with internal/external parties.
• Understand and follow Penske safety, policies, and DOT/OSHA requirements.
• Use Adjustrite and Summit systems to prepare and download estimates.
• Support other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Position Summary

As a Penske Collision Repair Appraiser you are responsible for writing collision repair estimates.

Schedule

Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:30PM

Salary

$56,200 - $74,500; Depending On Experience

Major Responsibilities

• Superior customer relation skills
• Strong communication and people management skills
• Working knowledge of body shop maintenance operations.
• Completing repair estimates in Adjustrite system-downloading into Summit.
• Communicate with both internal and external customers.
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of body shop estimating experience required
• Estimator Certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Vocational/technical school preferred
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook required
• Strong written/oral communication, problem solving, and decision making skills are required
• The associate will be required to understand and comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management
• The associate must be able to perform all work adhering to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies; including but not limited to the correct selection and use of appropriate tools, PPE, machine guarding, and established best safety practice.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required. Associates must have the ability to accept responsibility for their own safety, as well as the safety of others.

• Given the frequent movement of large trucks through the workplace, the associate must be able to see and hear in order to safely navigate the work environment.
• The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.
