Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass, located at 1600 Howard Ln in Austin, TX, is seeking a Porter to support vehicle detailing and shop upkeep. You will prepare customer vehicles for delivery, ensure cleanliness inside the shop, and assist with transportation of vehicles to sublet locations as needed.

Experience in collision automotive detailing or porter duties is preferred. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with a valid driver's license and strong attention to detail essential for success.

• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs starting.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs.
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

Gerber Collision & Glass - 1600 Howard Ln, Austin, TX

• 1 year prior experience in collision automotive detailing/porter duties preferred

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
• Ability to multitask
• Automotive experience preferred
• Clear close vision required
• 18 years or age or older
• Valid Driver's license
