Job summary

Quality Collision Group LLC is seeking an Automotive Painter to refinish collision-damaged vehicles and restore finish quality. You will perform paint prep, color matching and tinting, basecoat/clearcoat application, and final finish work following approved repair plans and industry standards.

You will collaborate with body technicians, preppers, estimators, and production leadership to meet delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional automotive painting/refinishing experience in collision repair.
• Hands-on experience with paint application, color matching, tinting, blending, and refinishing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of automotive refinish systems, paints, primers, clearcoats, and related materials.
• Paint manufacturing certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to identify finish imperfections.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Review repair plans and inspect repaired panels to confirm surfaces are ready for refinishing.
• Prepare, prime, seal, and refinish automotive body panels per procedures.
• Mix, match, and tint automotive paint to achieve accurate color and blend.
• Apply basecoat, clearcoat, and related refinish materials using proper spray techniques.
• Perform final finish work, including denibbing, sanding, buffing, and polishing.
• Maintain spray equipment, tools, PPE, and a clean, safe environment.
• Identify surface or repair concerns and communicate them to the production team.
• Work collaboratively with body technicians, preppers, estimators, and production leadership.
• Manage materials responsibly and maintain product knowledge.

Job Summary The Automotive Painter refinishes collision-damaged vehicles and body panels to restore appearance, finish quality, and pre-accident condition. This role performs paint preparation, color matching and tinting, paint application, and final finish work while following approved repair plans, manufacturer procedures, and collision industry standards. The Painter works closely with body, prep, and production teammates to deliver safe, high-quality repairs on schedule.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with automotive paint application, color matching/tinting, blending, and refinishing procedures required.
• Strong knowledge of automotive refinish systems, paints, coatings, primers, clearcoats, and related materials.
• Working knowledge of OEM repair/refinish procedures and collision industry quality standards.
• Paint and coatings manufacturer certification required within 1 year of employment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct finish imperfections.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required to safely operate spray and refinish equipment.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a highly skilled collision repair team.
• Demonstrated commitment to continued technical learning and manufacturer training.
• Valid driver's license required.
