Gerber Collision & Glass in Winston-Salem, NC, is seeking a General Manager to lead daily operations of the collision center and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will coach staff, manage safety, budget, and throughput to meet KPI targets and insurance metrics.

The role requires proven leadership in collision repair, strong communication, and the ability to motivate a diverse team while maintaining high professional standards and operational excellence across the shop.

• Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
• Ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently with high quality standards.

The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPI’s and insurance metrics are met. They are responsible to coach and empower each team member’s performance and success in their individual roles. The General Manager will promote and maintain the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers, and the General Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of the customer’s experience by ensuring they are working in alignment with all team members. General Managers are committed to leading by example at all times.Key Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint boothProvide training for all staff as necessaryEnsure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm through-put and delivery datesManage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards. Manage store capacity.Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings . Attend monthly managers meetings.Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.Store CSI performance review and follow up within 24 hours.Education and/or Experience RequiredPost-Secondary Education or equivalent.Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.Required Skills/AbilitiesAttention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.Ability to consistently demonstrate a successful client experienceCommunicate clearly both verbally and in writing.Ability to motivate others utilizing effective coaching tools and management skills.Please note, this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
