Gerber Collision & Glass in Gonzales, LA seeks an experienced Auto Body Shop Manager to lead daily collision-center operations, ensuring an exceptional customer experience and accomplishment of KPIs. The role emphasizes coaching staff, budget stewardship, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will drive labor efficiency, manage expenses, and sustain a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility while maintaining high customer service levels and team engagement.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
• Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
• Provide training for all staff as necessary.
• Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.
• Review and follow up on Store CSI performance within 24 hours.

Job Summary

The General Manager is responsible for providing an exceptional and successful customer experience while leading and maintaining the day‑to‑day operation of the Store in compliance with established policies and procedures. The General Manager plans and implements the daily operations of the Collision Center to ensure that overall KPIs and insurance metrics are met, coaches and empowers each team member’s performance, and maintains the highest quality standards of professionalism in serving all customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Prepare and manage the annual and monthly operating budget of the collision center.
• Forecast, target and track monthly sales, profit and expense objectives.
• Deliver formal annual performance reviews and informal monthly performance reviews.
• Monitor and maintain all A/P and A/R relating to the Collision Center.
• Maintain a clean and organized repair facility at all times.
• Monitor all maintenance required for all shop equipment, including the paint booth.
• Provide training for all staff as necessary.
• Ensure all staff wear proper safety gear and adhere to dress code.
• Open and close the facility daily as per established procedures.
• Conduct or coordinate daily production meetings/walks to confirm throughput and delivery dates.
• Manage all estimates to ensure labor mix is within established standards; manage store capacity.
• Lead and manage all repair facility personnel.
• Facilitate monthly Health & Safety and staff meetings; attend monthly managers meetings.
• Attend training, information sessions and workshops recommended by Senior Leadership Team.
• Review and follow up on Store CSI performance within 24 hours.

Education and Experience

• Post‑Secondary Education or equivalent.
• Proven leadership experience in a collision repair environment or similar role.

Compensation

$67,000 - $96,000 / Year. Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. This position may also be eligible for bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
