Responsibilities

• Thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
• Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area and notify supervisor if defects are found.
• Assist in general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds.
• Inspect goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Use safety equipment and follow hazardous waste disposal procedures; participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Maintain function of service tools and equipment; keep area organized and return items to designated areas.
• Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Perform cleaning activities (mopping, dusting, sweeping) and restock facilities; empty trash daily.
• Perform minor repairs such as changing a light bulb.

SUMMARY:
The Quality Support Technician serves to support the operations team by providing and performing a detailed and thorough inspection and cleaning of the repaired vehicle prior to release to the customer. This role will also serve to assist shop operations by performing a variety of tasks associated with maintenance of the shop location, including cleaning and organizing various pieces of equipment and tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for performing a thorough detailing and cleaning of all vehicles prior to final delivery to the customer.
• Visually inspect every vehicle for flaws in the repaired area. Promptly notify the General Manager or assigned technician should any defects or issues be found upon inspection.
• Responsible for assisting in the general maintenance of shop location and outside grounds.
• Inspecting goods or products according to quality and safety standards.
• May serve to ensure that test equipment is calibrated and working correctly.
• Consistently utilizes all required safety equipment, adheres to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal and participate in monthly safety meetings.
• Maintains the proper function of all service tools and equipment in the detail department; keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials, and equipment to designated areas.
• Identifying possible areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Perform any cleaning activities such as mopping, dusting, sweeping, as well as collecting and emptying trash cans daily. Service, clean, and supply any items in restrooms.
• Make minor repairs when necessary, such as changing a light bulb.
