Quality Collision Group is seeking an Auto Detailer to prepare repaired vehicles for delivery, performing comprehensive interior and exterior detailing and final inspections for appearance and quality.

The role emphasizes sanding and buffing freshly painted surfaces, correcting minor imperfections, and maintaining a clean, safe shop environment while meeting delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional automotive detailing experience.
• Professional experience in a collision repair/body shop environment.
• Experience sanding and buffing fresh automotive paint.
• Knowledge of detailing techniques, compounds, polishes, buffers, and related equipment.
• Ability to recognize paint imperfections and finishing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete interior and exterior detailing of repaired vehicles to company standards.
• Sand, buff, polish, and finish freshly painted surfaces while preserving the repair and finish quality.
• Identify and correct minor paint imperfections.
• Use buffers, polishers, detailing equipment, compounds, and cleaning products safely.
• Apply tape stripes, decals, and related finishing components as required.
• Clean vehicle interiors, exteriors, wheels, glass, jambs before delivery.
• Conduct final quality-control inspections and communicate concerns.
• Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas clean and safe.
• Work efficiently to meet production and delivery deadlines.

Job Summary The Auto Detailer prepares repaired vehicles for final delivery by ensuring each vehicle meets Quality Collision Group standards for appearance, cleanliness, and quality. This role performs complete interior and exterior detailing, sanding and buffing of fresh paint, minor finish correction, and final quality inspections. The Detailer works closely with the collision repair team to ensure vehicles are clean, polished, and delivery-ready while meeting customer expectations.

• Perform complete interior and exterior detailing of repaired vehicles to company standards.
• Sand, buff, polish, and finish freshly painted surfaces while protecting the integrity of the repair and paint finish.
• Identify and correct minor paint imperfections such as overspray, dust nibs, and swirl marks.
• Use buffers, polishers, detailing equipment, compounds, and cleaning products properly and safely.
• Apply tape stripes, decals, adhesive moldings, and related finishing components as required.
• Clean vehicle interiors, exterior surfaces, wheels, glass, jambs, and other areas before delivery.
• Conduct final quality-control inspections and communicate any remaining cosmetic or repair concerns.
• Maintain detailing equipment, supplies, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Work efficiently to meet production and vehicle-delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional automotive detailing experience required.
• Previous professional experience in a collision repair or body shop environment required.
• Experience sanding and buffing fresh automotive paint required.
• Working knowledge of automotive detailing techniques, compounds, polishes, buffers, and related equipment.
• Ability to recognize paint imperfections and determine appropriate finishing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced collision repair environment and manage multiple vehicle priorities.
