Job description

About the role

Insight Xcite is recruiting Collibra Developers for current and upcoming mission-focused opportunities, including Senior, Expert, and Subject Matter Expert (SME) assignments. Build and enhance enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data catalog solutions that help organizations improve data visibility, trust, quality, and compliance. Opportunities may involve platform development, workflow automation, metadata integration, governance process implementation, or enterprise data management initiatives.

Specific tools, seniority, education, certifications, and experience requirements depend on the assignment. We will review those requirements, the work location, and the schedule with candidates during the matching process. The examples below describe different types of work; applicants are not expected to have every skill or technology listed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate customer data governance requirements into scalable Collibra solutions, workflows, and technical implementations.
  • Configure and customize Collibra assets, domains, workflows, operating models, responsibilities, policies, and governance processes.
  • Develop integrations between Collibra and enterprise systems, including data catalogs, metadata repositories, cloud platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Implement and maintain metadata synchronization, lineage, data quality, and stewardship capabilities.
  • Partner with data stewards, governance teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to establish and improve data governance practices.
  • Develop technical documentation, support platform administration activities, and maintain secure configuration and development practices.
Required Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, or developing solutions on the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Experience developing, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting workflows, integrations, APIs, or automation solutions.
  • Ability to translate business and governance requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, data owners, and technical teams while documenting solutions clearly.

Some assignments require substantial hands-on Collibra development experience or advanced data governance expertise; others may consider transferable data management, metadata, or enterprise platform experience.

Examples of work
  • Platform development and workflow automation: Collibra workflows, operating models, responsibilities, governance processes, approval workflows, and stewardship activities.
  • Metadata management and data cataloging: business glossary management, metadata ingestion, asset modeling, lineage visualization, data classification, and governance reporting.
  • Enterprise integrations and APIs: Collibra REST APIs, Collibra Data Intelligence Cloud, Java, Python, SQL, ETL/ELT platforms, and cloud-based data ecosystems.
  • Data governance and quality: stewardship programs, policy implementation, data quality frameworks, reference data management, compliance initiatives, and data lifecycle management.
  • Platform engineering and security: role-based access controls, secure platform administration, release management, audit support, and governance initiatives supporting Zero Trust and data protection requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Collibra Ranger Certification, Collibra Steward Certification, or Collibra Expert Certification.
  • Experience integrating Collibra with tools such as Informatica, Alation, ServiceNow, Tableau, Power BI, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of DAMA-DMBOK, DCAM, NIST, or other data governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, data modeling, and enterprise information management practices.
