Virginia Tech invites applications for Collegiate Assistant Professor of Forestry. This teaching-focused faculty position is part of an SAF-accredited program and centers on delivering high-quality, field-based instruction and workforce preparation.

Expected 3:3 teaching load with courses such as FREC 2214, 3714, 3724, 3734, 4004, and 4714, plus related experiences. The appointment may include curriculum development, mentoring, and engagement with forestry employers.

Qualificações

• Doctorate by time of appointment in forestry, natural resources, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to deliver high-quality, field-based undergraduate education.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Teach and mentor undergraduates with a 3:3 load, including field-based instruction.
• Contribute to curriculum development and revision, and student mentoring.
• Engage with forestry employers and stakeholders; participate in extension activities if possible.
