Job summary

Southeast Arkansas College in Pine Bluff, AR is seeking a Part-Time Athletic Trainer to support student-athlete health across its athletic programs. The role involves medical coverage for practices and competitions and promoting wellness for all athletes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field, BOC certification, state licensure or eligibility, and CPR/AED/First Aid. Evening/weekend availability and occasional travel are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or related field is required.
  • Master’s degree is preferred.
  • BOC certification is required and state licensure or eligibility for licensure is required.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required.
  • Experience with collegiate or high school athletics preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training coverage for team practices, games, and events.
  • Evaluate athletic injuries and implement treatment and rehabilitation plans.
  • Administer first aid and emergency care during athletic activities.
  • Apply preventative taping, wrapping, bracing, and other injury prevention techniques.
  • Maintain medical records and injury reports in compliance with HIPPA and FERPA.
