Job summary

Nevada State University invites applications for the 1000 Hour Appointment - Assistant Athletic Trainer. The successful candidate will support the Head Athletic Trainer in delivering comprehensive athletic training services, injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation for student athletes.

The role requires licensure as an Athletic Trainer, CPR/AED, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Work hours are 10 per week at $25.00/hour in Henderson, NV.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field required.
• Licensed Athletic Trainer certification required.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services including injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehab.
• Taping, bracing, and related treatments.
• Develop safety protocols and emergency action plans.
• Ensure compliance with institutional and athletics governing bodies.
• Maintain medical documentation compliant with HIPAA/FERPA.
• Provide medical coverage for practices and games.
• Coordinate medical referrals.
• Work under Head Athletic Trainer supervision.
• Maintain communication with Athletic Director and Coaches.
