Tour Description

For many students, the process of figuring out which school best fits their needs is an overwhelming and confusing task. Education Unlimited group college tours allow students to visit and experience life at several prominent university and college campuses. The Tour transforms this experience into an enriching and exciting summer adventure, in which students participate in campus tours, meet with admissions representatives, and receive materials to help evaluate each school.

Tour participants are presented with strategies in getting the most out of their future college visits. Students learn what questions they should be asking of campus officials, how to compare schools to one another, and what factors are most important for their personal college selection process. Many tours are led by the admissions office staff, others by Education Unlimited personnel, depending on the campus and tour dates. Where available, campus tours will also include an information meeting provided by admissions office staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well‑being of students during the college tour trip.
  • Provide guidance and support to students as they explore college campuses and attend informational sessions, encouraging and facilitating discussions among students about their experiences and observations during the trip.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and Education Unlimited to ensure the success of the trip.
  • Assist with the on-the-ground logistics of the trip, such as communications with the bus driver and universities, arranging meals and checking students in and out of hotels. All trip reservations will be pre‑booked by the Education Unlimited home office.
  • Foster a positive and respectful learning environment for all students.
  • Act as a mentor for students and adhere to high ethical and professional standards.
  • Keep track of expenses, and ensure that expenses remain within the bounds of tour budgets.
  • Collaborate with other chaperones and EU home office to address any issues or concerns that may arise during the trip.
  • Be available and willing to assist the camp director with active supervision, recreational activities, and administrative tasks as needed.
