Job summary

St. Louis Community College is seeking a full-time Instructor II / Assistant Professor to lead and teach in the photography program, overseeing NASAD-accredited coursework. The role covers foundation digital and darkroom classes, advanced offerings, and laboratory management.

Qualifications

MFA in Photography or closely related field from an accredited institution.
Ability to teach photographic practice, history, and theory at the collegiate level.
Two or more years of college-level teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Teach a range of courses across the photography curriculum, including beginning, intermediate, and specialized courses.
Develop and update program curriculum to meet transfer and accreditation needs.
Maintain and manage a studio, digital lab, and darkroom facilities.
Repair equipment and manage budget lines.
Advise students and support portfolio development and exhibition preparation.
Collaborate with faculty across disciplines and participate in committee work.
