Job summary

The University of Kentucky’s College of Medicine Philanthropic Initiatives Team seeks an Associate Director to build and manage philanthropic infrastructure for the college. This role reports to the Senior Director and collaborates with gift officers, departments, and budget partners to advance endowed and non-endowed lectureships and symposium events.

The successful candidate will manage multiple projects, demonstrate attention to detail, and be a strong team player committed to advancing

Qualifications

  • BA (Bachelor of Arts) degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong collaboration and project management skills.
  • Willingness to work standard hours with evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with departments and gift officers to support endowed and non-endowed lectureship/symposium events.
  • Activate fund leveraging strategies to maximize impact.
  • Promote utilization efforts in the College of Medicine.
  • Collaborate with budget officers and internal stakeholders to advance academic healthcare initiatives.

Physical Requirements This position may require sitting, standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs may be required.

Shift Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm, evenings and weekends based on departmental need.

Job Summary The College of Medicine Philanthropic Initiatives Team seeks an Associate Director to be a vital partner in building philanthropic infrastructure for the college. This position will report to the Senior Director and serve as an essential liaison between our team and our internal department, our budget officers, and our College of Medicine departments. Daily activities will include partnering with departments and gift officers to support endowed and non-endowed lectureship/symposium events, activating on fund leveraging strategies, and promoting utilization efforts in the college. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, a willingness to manage multiple different types of projects at once, be a consummate team player, and care about the mission of advancing academic healthcare in Kentucky.
