This is a pooled hourly position reviewed as vacancies arise.

Adjunct positions are offered on a semester-by-semester basis with no guarantee of continued employment; transcripts required for those offered employment within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduate level knowledge of music technique, theory and history.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, culture, ethnic background and abilities.
• Experience teaching music lessons at a college level.
• Bachelor's degree in Music or equivalent.
• Master's degree in Music or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide private applied music instruction to lower-division students in guitar, strings, piano, brass, voice, woodwinds, or percussion.
• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels.
• Conduct evaluations to assess student performance and progress.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and return graded work.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and grades for institutional purposes.
• Submit final grades by published deadlines.
• Respond to student inquiries within 1–2 business days.
