College Laboratory Assistant 2 - Nursing Tutor

Job Description: The position serves as academic support for students in the nursing discipline. It is critical that this individual is knowledgeable of current nursing theory and practice. The role involves working with nursing faculty to support curricular assignments, activities, and projects, as well as delivering workshops and group tutoring sessions for students.

Principal Responsibilities and Results:

1. Tutor students across various ability levels in all Nursing classes to maximize their success.
2. Collaborate with Nursing faculty to develop resources that aid students' learning and academic progress.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant licensure in Nursing, plus at least 1 academic year of teaching/tutoring experience in Nursing at high school level or above, OR
• 4 years of work experience in Nursing without a required degree/certificate/diploma/licensure, OR
• An equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to present teaching material effectively, assist students in understanding concepts independently, communicate clearly in both one-on-one and group settings.

Work Shift: Monday - Friday, 4-8 hours weekly (schedule varies based on course needs). Position starts August 20th, 2025, for the academic year.

Hourly Range: $21.57 - $30.13
