Job summary

Allied Universal® Event Services is hiring Event Security Officers for college sports events and other venues. The role includes bag checks, access control, and enforcing venue policies while delivering excellent guest service.

Typical pay starts at $18/hr for most events and increases to $22/hr for college sports events. Weekly pay, paid training, and flexible part-time schedules are offered to fit your lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Background check and post-offer drug/alcohol test required.
• Ability to exercise good independent judgment and discretion.
• Overtime availability may be required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Direct entry and manage access control at venues, including ticket checks.
• Screen guests with bags searches, hand wands or metal detectors and verify IDs.
• Protect guests, staff and assets by monitoring security at key points.
• Respond quickly to crowd control issues and escort unruly guests when necessary.
• Understand and apply venue, facility and event policies and procedures.
• Provide guests with directions and information to enhance their experience.

Now Hiring Event Security Officers $22/hr. for College Sports Events - (All other events pay $18/hr.)

Allied Universal® Event Services is looking to hire Event Security. This position is responsible for checking bags, enforcing access control and implementing policies and procedures for the safety of the guests and owners, while providing superior customer service for the best guest experience.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in all aspects of event day preparation and execution.
• Allow appropriate entry into each venue, may collect and/or scan tickets, verify wristbands and badges, direct traffic coming in and out of the venue.
• Screen guests during entry via bag searching, hand wand or metal detector, and ID verification.
• Protect guests, staff, and venue ownership group assets by watching for security breaches at vital checkpoints.
• Respond quickly to potential crowd control issues and provide escorts for unruly guests when ejections are warranted.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the policies, procedures and regulations of different venues, facilities and events.
• Provide a positive experience for guests as they arrive at your facility entrance, aisle, concourse area or other location
• Provide guests with helpful directions and/or suggestions that will enhance their entertainment experience.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• As a condition of employment, candidate must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test; additional screening may be required if driving a customer or company owned vehicle.
• Able to use good independent judgment and discretion.
• Must be able to work overtime as needed.
