Republic Services, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Collections Specialist who will collect past due balances on assigned accounts while building relationships with customers and internal teams to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).

You will contact customers, reconcile and research accounts, resolve disputed balances, document actions, and provide quality service. Candidates must have at least 2 years of collections experience, preferably with high-dollar accounts.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Collections Specialist collects past due balances on assigned accounts while building lasting relationships with our customer base and internal parties. The Collections Specialist is responsible for minimizing the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and Over 90-day delinquencies for the Company.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs collection activities on invoices and recycle hauls for assigned accounts, including but not limited to, contacting customers and providers to address outstanding balances.
• Applies advanced skills or knowledge of collection practices to reconcile and research accounts internally and externally before attempting collection activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience collecting for high dollar accounts.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 2 years of collections or relevant experience.

These innovative sites process rigid plastics from our recycling centers, producing recycled materials that promote true bottle‑to‑bottle circularity. We also formed Blue Polymers, a joint venture with Ravago, to develop facilities that will further process plastic material from our Polymer Centers to help meet the growing demand for sustainable packaging. We are building a network of Polymer Centers and Blue Polymer facilities across North America.
