All employees must also submit proof of identity and employment eligibility.***JOB DESCRIPTION:**The Kansas City, Kansas Environmental Services Division is seeking a motivated Collection System Apprentice to join the team. This entry-level position supports the maintenance and operation of the wastewater collection system to ensure reliable and environmentally responsible service to the community. The Collection System Apprentice works under the technical direction of senior staff, including Collection System Technicians II and III, or a division leader, to assist with a variety of maintenance, repair, and operational tasks. Duties include operating cleaning equipment, supporting the use of CCTV inspection equipment, and assisting with system upkeep to ensure the collection network operates safely and efficiently. This position is DOT-regulated and requires adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.**QUALIFICATIONS:**High School Diploma or GED. Routine maintenance and six months or more of relevant experience preferred. Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job, such as those listed above. Valid driver’s license. Must hold or be able to obtain a Class B CDL *permit* within 90 days and a Class B CDL within six months of hiring.
