COLLEAGUE PERFORMANCE & TRAINING MANAGER

This is a strategic business enablement role embedded within RBC U.S. Mortgage Banking, responsible for leading organizational transformation through the lens of people, process, culture, and capability. This position will be responsible for developing and managing all programs and efforts to ensure a consistent and sustainable colleague experience within the U.S. Mortgage Banking division, to minimize colleague turnover and maximize the experience of our clients and stakeholders. The role is responsible for the development and execution of onboarding and training programs. A disciplined new colleague experience is essential to help consistently integrate new colleagues into our culture, understand our business, and leverage our tools in support of their ramp up period. This role will partner closely with executive leadership (and direct reports) to align organizational design, talent strategy, operational effectiveness, and colleague experience to the division’s growth and transformation roadmap.

This cross-functional strategic role will connect people strategy with business transformation across RBC U.S. ensuring the division is structurally, culturally, and operationally prepared for scale, innovation, and sustained performance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
  • Ensure alignment of people, structure, and systems with the division’s transformation roadmap and operating model.
  • Drive strategy execution by embedding change and readiness planning across all major initiatives.
  • Embed new ways of working (e.g., cross-functional collaboration and embedding product mindsets) into divisional operating models.
  • Design and implement talent strategies that build leadership pipeline strength, accelerate performance, and prepare the workforce for future growth.
  • Develop and deliver learning curricula and scalable competency frameworks that promote behavior change, mindset shift, and strategic capability building.
  • Build feedback, recognition, and performance acceleration programs.
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking to identify best practices in leadership development, organizational design, and transformation enablement.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs, Talent, Internal Communications, Technology and Colleague Experience teams to ensure integrated delivery of programs across people, process, and experience.
  • Design, in collaboration with LOB training teams, onboarding programs, and role-based integration pathways that accelerate time-to-effectiveness and ensure clarity of expectations.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive colleague experience strategy tied to business transformation milestones, workforce evolution and employee listening surveys.
  • Develop forward-looking talent models that integrate business volume projections, automation impact, and location strategies to inform hiring, development, and redeployment plans.
  • Ensure that colleague experience strategies are tightly connected to organizational growth-supporting career development, change readiness, and moments that matter across the colleague lifecycle.
  • Will be responsible for determining and developing Colleague Training and will be responsible for all aspects of colleague Development

Responsible for Colleague Onboarding experience

  • Will be responsible for Performance Measurement (Managing Analysts) ensuring colleagues compensation are in alignment with overall bank focus/strategy
  • Responsible in managing and tracking Performance Analysis
  • Incentive Design & Mechanics
  • Liaison with Marketing & Products Strategy (“MAPS”) for sales initiatives and product training.
  • Manage the overall Colleague Banking offering and experience
  • Responsible and accountable for appropriate quality controls related to the financial products the bank provides, the services the bank delivers, the processes employed and the incentives with which colleagues are awarded.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications*
  • 12 years experience in organizational development, human resources, or learning and development
  • Minimum of 10 years banking experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years mortgage experience.
Additional Qualifications
  • History of building relationships with HR colleagues and business leaders.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to lead teams through difficult discussions.
  • Demonstrated experience with successfully influencing executive leadership.
  • Knowledge and understanding of competitive organization design principles, methodology, process and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience designing learning curriculums that shift employee behaviors and build essential competencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience developing and delivering training and mentoring tools.
  • Ability to act as an effective mentor/coach/business consultant.
  • Must be capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity, dedication, and strategic counsel.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships both within the U.S. Mortgage Banking Division and throughout the bank.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?
Compensation

Starting base salary: $127,626.00 to $237,014.00 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
