Job summary

Tree Island Steel is seeking a Machine Operator - Collator/Packer to operate collating equipment, perform packing, and maintain safety and quality to meet production targets.

Work schedule is Mon-Fri 5:00am-1:30pm with a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork. You will set up machines, troubleshoot issues, operate forklift, and document production data while complying with PPE and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to use shop floor computer systems.
• Ability to lift 50-65 lbs regularly.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Forklift certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate collating machines to meet production standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
• Set up machines, including glue and plastic components.
• Load and operate bulk feeder assemblies.
• Pack collated nails into boxes (35-95 lbs) and inspect strips before packing.
• Assemble and close cardboard boxes and stack on pallets.
