Job summary

The University of Tampa’s Music Department seeks a full-time Instructional Staff Accompanist to teach 8 credit hours per year and accompany vocal ensembles (choirs, Opera Workshop). The ideal candidate will bring passion for collegiate music education and collaborate widely within the department.

Additional accompaniment duties will be added to fulfill needs of the music and musical theatre departments, within the limits of a full-time work load.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in piano performance or collaborative piano.
• Proven experience accompanying advanced classical repertoire and musical theatre.

Responsibilities

• Teach 8 credit hours per year in the music department.
• Accompany vocal ensembles (choirs, Opera Workshop).
• Assume additional accompaniment duties to support music and musical theatre departments within a full-time load.
