Job summary

HDR is seeking a Collaborative Growth Campaigns Lead to drive cross-business campaigns and top-line pursuits within the A/E industry. You will partner with senior leaders, technical teams, and marketing to develop winning strategies, craft client-focused submissions, and guide campaigns from concept to realization.

You will analyze market drivers, coordinate cross-functional teams, assess risks, and ensure alignment with growth objectives, while advancing profitability and client relationships

Qualifications

  • 15 years’ experience in leadership and management of diverse business development teams in the A/E industry.
  • Broad A/E industry experience related to growth trends and aligning strategy with client development, project management, and marketing tactics.
  • Experience in management of strategic marketing and/or client relationship programs, leading undefined potentials to actionable campaigns.
  • Workflow creation, evaluation and evolution to provide structure and processes.
  • Dynamic communication skills to present new ideas and collaborate across the global enterprise.
  • Awareness of macro-economic trends affecting the industry and HDR enterprise.
  • Ability to interact with diverse teams and show strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, political science, engineering, architecture, business or similar field.
  • Strong skills in client development and growing/leading a practice.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership in leading cross-business campaigns and top-line pursuits to realize profitability.
  • Lead data-driven targeting by evaluating emerging technologies and market trends for growth opportunities.
  • Initiate detailed market plans including relationship development, community engagement and growth strategies.
  • Drive collaboration across marketing, business development, operations and executive teams to share best practices.
  • Serve as primary campaign lead, coordinating with Marketing, Growth, and Strategy teams to support regional campaigns.
  • Assess risks and opportunities for sustainable growth considering economic, environmental, and social factors.
  • Conduct kickoff and planning meetings, establish schedules, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Identify differentiators, win themes, and key messaging with technical leadership.

As a Collaborative Growth Campaigns Lead, you are equally skilled in areas of leadership, influence, business development and cross-business coordination. You have a strong foundation and track record of driving growth in the A/E (Architectural/Engineering) industry, and thrive in dynamic spaces where you own initiatives and partner with top technical talent to strategize and materialize it. You understand how deep relationships, timely strategy development, and proactive discernment of market drivers is essential. In this role, you will serve as the central lead for complex, top-line/high-value pursuits and the development of new service area or geographic-focused campaigns. You will collaborate closely with technical leaders, business developers, marketing professionals, and executive leadership to develop winning strategies and compelling client-focused submissions.

You are a highly organized, strategic thinker who can develop and articulate strategy from conceptual data and subjective influence, drive excellence, facilitate cross-functional teams, and elevate quality while ensuring alignment with the firm's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with corporate, business group, market sector, and operations leadership in leading cross-business campaigns and associated top-line pursuits in support of company growth focus areas by developing and executing the best strategy to realize maximum profitability potential.
  • Leverage data analytics, evaluating data on emerging technologies, geographic or sector trends, early economic signals, and market competitors or partners to facilitate more precise targeting and personalization of growth campaigns and pursuits, leading to focused growth opportunities.
  • Initiate detailed plans to advance market position, including relationship development, community engagement and exposure activities, recruiting and succession strategies, tools/processes/projects to support market or geographic growth strategies.
  • Drive collaboration across the enterprise for business development, sales, marketing, and client service activities. Develop best practices for same.
  • Serve as the primary campaign lead among marketing, business development, operations project management, and executive teams. Work collaboratively with Director of Marketing and Growth, Director of Market Sector Development, and Cross-Business Strategy Team to facilitate and support sector- and geography-based growth campaigns and report progress.
  • Assess and evaluate risks and opportunities for sustainable growth strategies with regard to economic, environmental, and social factors.
  • Facilitate campaign and/or pursuit kickoff and capture planning meetings and establish campaign schedules, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Partner with business development and technical leadership to identify company differentiators, win themes, and key messaging.
  • Conduct campaign-specific risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Manage proposal interview preparation for pursuits. Facilitate presentation rehearsals and coaching sessions as necessary and appropriate.
  • Prepare and deliver succinct and creative executive-level communications for opportunities that need awareness, buy-in, broad understanding, and significant enterprise investment.

  • Experienced in management of strategic marketing and/or client relationship programs, with particular skill in taking a lead role in new, undefined, or abstract potentials and sharpening them into clear, cohesive, actionable campaigns.
  • Workflow creation, evaluation and evolution. The successful candidate will provide structure and stand up new processes to support.
  • Dynamic communication skills to present new ideas, challenge norms, build trust, and collaborate across the global enterprise.
  • Awareness of macro-economic trends affecting our industry and HDR enterprise.
  • Demonstrated experience working cooperatively across Market Sector Directors, Business Class Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, Area Business Group Managers, Area Business Group Business Development Managers, Managing Principals, and Area Managers.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, political science, engineering, architecture, business or similar field.
  • Ability to interact with diverse teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) and listening skills.
  • Strong skills in client development and a documented history of growing/leading a practice and winning work.
  • Ability to analyze the marketplace and strategically position HDR.
