Job summary

Veritiv Operating Company is seeking a Test Lab Technician in San Diego to conduct ISTA distribution and cold chain tests, document results, and prepare technical reports. You will interpret ISTA/ASTM standards and customer protocols while safely operating lab equipment across multiple projects.

The role requires 1–3 years in a testing lab or packaging-related field, with CAD skills (ArtiosCAD/Solidworks) preferred and a Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related lab or testing experience.
• Basic understanding of packaging principles and corrugated boxes.
• ISTA Packaging Dynamics Professional certification preferred.
• CAD software (ArtiosCAD, Solidworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ISTA distribution and cold chain tests.
• Document test data and reports following Good Documentation Practices.
• Interpret and apply industry standards (ISTA, ASTM) and customer protocols.
• Safely operate laboratory equipment.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicate test status to sales reps and customers.
• Collaborate with internal departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
