Job summary

Americold is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely receive, store, and ship food products at our Vineland, Alabama facility. You will operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners to move merchandise accurately and efficiently.

Under supervision, you will help meet production standards, perform inventory tasks, and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Occasional overtime, evenings, or weekends may be required to complete assignments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently and safely load and unload freight using proper equipment.
• Stack and store merchandise, pick and assemble orders for shipment, check freight for accuracy, damage, and infestation, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as directed by management.
• Operate equipment in a manner that promotes safety and comply with OSHA standards.
• Meet production standards while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
• Perform inventory, cleaning, or forklift battery changes as needed.
