Job summary

Automatic Spring Products Corporation is seeking a Coiling Set up Tech - Class B in Grand Haven, MI. The role focuses on setting up, maintaining, and operating Coiling machines, performing preventive maintenance, and conducting quality checks to ensure timely delivery of parts.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, possibly 2–4 years of machining experience, and be proficient with data entry systems (PLEX) and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years machining experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to enter data into automated systems (e.g., PLEX).
• Use of measurement devices: calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, load testers.
• Blueprint reading and knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Regular and consistent attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Sets up Coiling machines, CNC and mechanical (maintenance, cleaning etc.).
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to form a quality part.
• Inspects parts and records hourly checks in Plex data entry.
• Loads material onto machines and ensures smooth operation.
• Fixes issues during the shift to minimize downtime.
• Maintains a safe, clean work environment per policies.
