Job summary

Zekelman Industries' Atlas Tube division in Chicago, IL on the Southside, seeks a Mobile Equipment Operator to support yard and production operations by loading/unloading trucks, moving coils, and transporting finished products. This on-site role requires safe operation and clear communication.

You will work with the Mill Supervisor, Foremen, crane and slitter operators to keep material flow steady. Pay is $26.65 per hour plus a production incentive bonus, with benefits and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to work shift work, including overtime as needed.
• Good work history with references required.
• Strong attention to detail, dependability, professionalism.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks to support shipments.
• Move master coils around the coil yard to maintain orderly storage and steady production flow.
• Transport finished products throughout the yard and stage loads for shipment.
• Receive and follow verbal and written instructions from Production Foreman and Managers.
• Communicate with crane and slitter operators to ensure continuous production flow to equipment.
• Perform daily inspections on mobile equipment and report issues.
