Job summary

Precoat Metals Corp is seeking a Production Worker for the St. Louis plant to assist across coating lines, slitting, shipping, receiving, paint vault, and packaging.

The role requires reading and following production plans, operating cranes and forklifts, and ensuring coils are moved safely and efficiently. Qualifying candidates should have a high school diploma, good reading/writing skills, and the ability to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and comprehend schedules, SOPs and work rules.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work up to 12 hours per day on rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and transport bare coils and maintain flow of metal to lines.
• Trim, package and band finished coils according to customer specifications.
• Inspect coils and report defects.
• Read and interpret production schedules and record weights and order numbers.
• Load or unload coils onto or off trucks.
