Job summary

Maximus is seeking a Cognitive Domain Lead to join our team. This senior role supports the POTFF program, leading brain health initiatives that enhance SOF readiness, resilience, performance, and career longevity.

The position is remote within the continental US, requires U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance, and includes equipment provision, strong benefits, and opportunities for professional growth, aligned with nationwide operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 7–10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of cognitive performance, brain health, neuroscience, human performance, psychology, or related discipline.
  • Experience leading programs, multidisciplinary teams, or complex human performance initiatives.
  • Strong strategic planning, program management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with active Secret security clearance or eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope including planning activities and artifacts.
  • Oversee multi-project programs including planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling activities.
  • Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs.
  • Identify resources needed and assign responsibilities.
  • Develop and maintain resource plans and required documents for projects.
  • Baseline all projects and capture metrics for historical LOE forecasting.
  • Review deliverables and ensure quality before management and customers.
  • Apply PMI methodology and enforce project standards on all projects.
  • Prepare for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Minimize risk exposure on projects.
  • Communicate project information to management, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Resolve issues within a reasonable time considering project impact.
  • Ensure project documents are complete and stored appropriately.
  • Track lessons learned and apply to future projects.
  • Close out projects properly and transfer knowledge.
